2D animation demo reel:
This is a demo reel of all my 2D work so far.
Motion Graphics Demo Reel:
This is a demo reel of all of my motion graphics work so far. The beginning of this demo reel was created in After Effects using its 3D graphic function.
Senior Showcase Introduction:
For this project I was given assets from students in the DGMA department at Alfred State College and was tasked with creating an introduction for their Senior showcase.
Process breakdown:
When given the assets I put most of them into After Effects. Some I had to edit a bit, for example one of the assets didn't have a transparent background so I had to make the background transparent. Other assets had some other small problems that I fixed.
Next I sourced the music, I found out that I could use Pokémon music. The music that I chose was specifically from Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. This helped me with the timing of the motion graphic.
Next was a short brainstorming phase were I figured out the movement for the assets, and in what order the assets appear
Finally I moved everything. Moving the characters, I tried to make sure that most of the movements were unique and clean. For backgrounds it was the same procedure.
Bumpers for Showcase:
These bumpers were created for the senior showcase for Alfred State College. I used the same assets that were provided for the showcase.
Process Breakdown:
For this I had to use the same assets that I mentioned above.
I first sourced the music from the same game as mentioned above, but this time it is some of the battle music from the game.
The motion lines the background where made in photoshop, I just drew some lines and blurred them. I made the photoshop file very long so all I had to do in after effects is drag the motion lines file from the right to the left.
The other sound effects hear were made from other sounds. The woosh sound effect was made with a stick being swung around. The click of the ball was the clicking of a button. The energy sound of the ball was made from the sound of a piece of metal with a filter applied to it in Adobe Audition.

Shroom Punch:
I was tasked with finishing an animation every week for about four weeks, for this animation the topic was something getting hit.
Process breakdown:
Since this is a rather simple project there aren't too many parts to for my creative process.
First I had to figure out what was getting hit and what it was getting hit by. The first thing that came to mind was some type of simple character getting punched. So I decided to make the Character in this instance a mushroom creature. Because I thought it looked cute. Then I just drew a fist and animated it to look like it was a machine operated fist
The squish of the mushroom in this animation was practice for the most part.
Jelly Cube Turn Around:
This was part of the project that required me to finish an animation every week. For this animation I was tasked with creating a turnaround. But I also wanted to practice something that i had little experience with, which was animating liquid.
Process Breakdown:
This project isn't too advanced, my first step was to think of how to make a turnaround a bit more interesting.
My first thought was to experiment with some type of jelly cube, so I would be able to experiment with liquid physics.
I decided to mess around with making something look like its exploding and I did that as part of the process to get rid of the cube.
This project is also able to be looped seamlessly.
